Sheesley’s Sewer Service began providing service in 1953 as a way to provide an additional family income.  Lester (Moe) Sheesley worked for the Village of Elmira Heights by day and built his sewer contracting business nights and weekends.  In 1961, upon graduation from high school, son Wayne joined his father in running the family business.  Moe and Wayne continued to build a strong business foundation and teamed to form a partnership in 1963.  Sheesley’s Sewer Service, incorporated in 1968, had become a respected name in the Southern Tier of New York.  Wayne later became sole owner and he and his wife Nina worked together with their staff to offer an honest and respected sewer and plumbing contracting business.

 

Today, Sheesley’s continues to provide the same quality, guaranteed service that customer’s have known for over 55 years.  In 2002, Michael Cowan, an employee with over 23 years of service, purchased Sheesley’s Sewer Service.  Mike, working with his wife Joanne and their staff, continues to improve the quality of service through certified training and with upgraded equipment.  Sheesley’s offers the best for their customers in the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania region.

Sheesley's Sewer Service, Inc. strives to maintain the highest quality customer service by adhering to strict guidelines as mandated by our local regulatory authorities and completing contracts in a timely and efficient manner to the satisfaction of our customers.

 

Projects are frequently reviewed with the appropriate agencies to insure our customers receive system designs tailored for their needs and environmental conditions.  We are a year-round service provider.  Our office is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, M-F except for major holidays.  A technician is always "on-call" to cover emergencies and receives overtime compensation for any after business hours' calls.  

Sheesley's has been providing quality plumbing and sewer service for over 55 years.  We take pride in our employees, their knowledge and expertise.  Our current technician staff has 164 years of combined experience in the plumbing and sewer business and 137 of those years are working with Sheesley's Sewer Service, Inc.

 

Sheesley's prides itself on its service and stands behind our workmanship.  Our trained technicians regularly attend continuing education seminars and classes to keep abreast of new technologies. 

 

Our equipment receives regular maintenance and updating to assure efficient job completion.  The office is staffed with three full-time administrative assistants to handle customer calls and can offer most cost estimates as well as payment arrangements.  We also provide a residential price list on this web site for customer convenience.  

 

Timely service has always been number one priority, but since our business is often an "emergency service" and each call is unique in nature, we can only estimate call-time.  Our customers can typically be provided with a morning or afternoon appointment however delays due to unforeseen circumstances are possible.
